NuCellSys - The Fuel Cell System Company (Germany)

visit websiteNuCellSys GmbH, an equally owned Joint Venture of Daimler and Ford Motor Company, develops and manufactures zero emission proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell systems for vehicular applications. The automotive fuel cell system business in Kirchheim/Teck, Germany was established in 1997 and supplies fuel cell systems to Daimler, Ford and other automotive customers.

Aproximately 200 predominantly highly specialized employees at NuCellSys are responsible for system development and design, component and software development, and system assembly and qualification. The fuel cell system (balance of plant) supplies hydrogen and oxygen with the appropriate dosage, pressure and humidity to the fuel cell stack.

NuCellSys fuel cell systems have been designed for a stand-alone passenger car application. They also can be integrated in hybrid configurations thus using energy management. In addition, two fuel cell systems can be combined in parallel with an energy storage to power heavy duty vehicles such as buses.

As a provider of advanced environmental friendly vehicle power technologies NuCellSys is an ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14001 certified company. The fuel cell systems are developed and tested according to automotive specifications and standards, passing comprehensive quality procedures.
